Calum started writing music as a teenager. In his early twenties he went on to feature regularly at the Edinburgh Festival as well as supporting original Marillion frontman, Fish on his 2014 UK tour. He moved to the Catalan capital in 2017 and has since built a following in the local music scene. Living abroad has helped Calum to grow as an artist, taking advantage of the wide array of international musicians the city has to offer. His debut album, due to be released in 2021, will feature collaborations with local artists as well as instrumental contributions coming from almost every continent on the globe. Calum Busby is a songwriter and performer from Edinburgh,Scotland based in Barcelona. Calum blends his Celtic Indie Rock stylings with a scathing wit that takes a self-deprecating sideways glance at current social issues and the quirky contradictions that often inhabit them. His songs are full of passion and vulnerability, often bouncing from moments of raucous intensity to dulcet tranquility in just a strum of the guitar. Calum’s influences are rooted in the genres of Alternative Indie Rock and Folk.
